Frequently Asked Questions

The simple answer is yes. Research demonstrates that intervention is a virtual guarantee for a child’s success. The sooner educational therapy can supplement a child’s education, the greater the chances of success in an inclusive school setting. As we know, the world is an inclusive setting and ALL children deserve the right to an effective education in the least restrictive environment.

No, many of our kids just need a little help to learn new concepts or brush up on something. In addition, many parents bring their child to NEAT Services before an IEP or 504 plan is formalized by the school district.

That’s one of the skills we love to do! We offer a variety of advocacy training for parents, including one-on-one consultations, group sessions, community outreach lectures…even going through an IEP with a parent or guardian and offering a report on how to insist on appropriate services. In a word: Yes! We are an important part of the team, but only part of the team. Our collaborative approach includes the parents, the therapists, the educators, the schools, and any paraprofessional or team member with an interest in the child’s success.

Dedicated to the excellence of every child, of every ability.
