I am honored to have been a special education teacher and facilitator for 23 years in the public and charter school systems and taught a wide spectrum of children over the course of my career. My credentials include Nevada State Certification, with endorsements in the areas of Early Childhood Special Education, TESL, School Administration, Generalist K-12, and Elementary K-8.  I hold a dual master’s degree in Special and General Education, as well as a master’s in Educational Leadership. I am a proud member of the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates.
For years, I sat across the table from parents as a teacher or facilitator and wished that I could do more to help but couldn’t as a school district employee. So many times I have seen doors shut in parents’ faces. As your advocate, I will fight with you for the rights of your child and ensure that he/she receives the services he/she is entitled to.  Let’s open those doors together!
I am passionate about providing the highest quality of education to children with special needs and helping their families by sharing with them a wealth of knowledge and information I have acquired over the years.
On a more personal note, I am a wife and mother to five teenagers. I also love animals and have two Labrador retrievers, two cats, and a couple of guinea pigs.
