Hi Everyone! I’m so excited to join this team, as I bring over twenty-eight years as a teacher in Special Education and as a school administrator/facilitator. I have worked with the Minneapolis Public School System, the Clark County School District, the State Public School Charter Authority, and over five years’ experience as a Special Education Facilitator/Director.
Through my career, I have come to experience all areas of behavior and academic interventions, from full inclusion to residential treatment. My specialty is students with emotional and behavioral concerns but have well-rounded experience with all eligibilities. For me, it is a true joy to have an effective and legal understanding of each and every student, from the compliance and timelines of specialty “SPED” paperwork to the services that are tailored to each child’s needs. I found, after completing my second master’s degree in Special Education, that I wanted to further my credentialing, so I am currently studying to sit for the examination with the Behavior Analysts Certification Board for a BCBA Certification.
On a personal note, I am planning a wedding to my amazing fiancé Tim and I have a 17-year-old son who is a Clark County Fire Department Explorer. (So happy, so proud!) I’m so looking forward to meeting with all my future students, and it will be a pleasure to teach – as well as learn – from your child.
