For the past decade, I have worked for non-profits in disability services. As a result, I have come to understand some of the hardships that parents go through in getting fair services for their children.
My educational background includes a degree in anthropology, which has given me a deep understanding of how services are applied to children. In addition, a study of the sciences gives a great background to knowing what is effective in reaching young adults, and a love for the research necessary to stay on top of latest trends. I’m currently working toward a Master’s of Public Administration at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
If you had told me 25 years ago that I would be helping to start an organization like NEAT Services, I would have changed my major years ago.
Like Wendy, I also have five kids, two Labradors, a cat, and some guinea pigs. What a coincidence. Funny how that works. 🙂
